I sorrow today for our Country that has sold it's soul.

Today is a truely sad day in America. This is not my Country any longer, it belongs to Washington and the Socialist agenda that is taking over our once great Country. I remember a time when, for me, politics was just that...people saw things differently in a constructive "everyone is American" way. Now, it is a fight for the Country our Founders made, chunk by chunk it is being destroyed by Washington and the powers that be., AGAINST the will of the people.

I sorrow for the babies that will continue to die because of the Pro-CHOICE (choice for killing?) agenda. I sorrow for the millions of Americans that will have those deaths on their souls because of the tax money that will fund their deaths. Lord, forgive us..

I also sorrow for the knowledge that, regardless of the obvious WILL OF THE PEOPLE Washington pushed on for the Health Care Bill "in our best interest". I resent that!! I answer only to my Lord, and he has my best interest at heart, I have only to pick up my Bible and see the answers., NOT to Washington!
Like minded people tell me "November we will start the take back of our Country", I know this is true., but worry about the "take back" of yesterday's vote for this horrific Health Care Bill that will change our country. I worry about the fact that "Washington" is so concerned about this bill they don't consider the financial concequences of it on a nation this is in debt so deeply.
I fear from my Children and Grandchildren and Pray for the America we once had.

Cody's 15th Birthday at Stix

We celebrated our Grandson's 15th Birthday at an oriental restaurant on January 2. A great time was had by all! Our cook tossed food in our mouths (well...at least tried), set the grill on blaze, showed his knife skills (very impressive) and made an onion ring volcano complete with fire and smoke. Happy 15th Birthday Cody!!!

Participating in the Murder of Innocent babies

I am so concerned about our Government's urge to "improve" health care, regardless of the feelings of the citizens! Here I am, a Catholic Grandmother, sitting in Kansas, feeling helpless in the knowledge that my tax dollars will be going to fund the murder of children! How can we refuse to participate in this! I don't feel that this is my country any longer. Mother Mary, pray for us!

Almost October

I can't believe I haven't Blogged since June., can you tell that I am retired? I have basically been lazying my way through summer. If I die today, they will never get the smile off of my face., I am so happy. I don't have much $ and that is hard., but I am so relieved not to be running a demanding DayCare anymore! I loved my work, and loved working with my Oldest daughter, Kimberly., and seeing my Grandson, Jacob everyday., and I miss that. I also miss some of the families I had become to close to. I was so blessed with having the Tollett family for 5 years. I miss them very much and their children even more! I get to see some of the children at Kimberly's when I am at her Daycare for whatever reason. I have to admit, it is nice to go in, love the kids and LEAVE.

I have been crocheting again, something I truely love doing., but I never had the time with working 10 hours a day, and all the responsibilites that go with running a business. I actually fixed some of my husband's blue jeans this week, they had been in a "fix it" pile for years.

Spending time with my Flock of demanding little parrots and my crazy furry Kids has been enjoyable for me. They keep me hopping, then, of course, there are our chickens and peafowl., and that's another story.

I actually read TWO books last week! I haven't read a WHOLE book in a long time. How wonderful that is~

October is upon us., this year I am looking forward to winter., for the first time in over 25 years I won't have to worry about keeping my driveway clear for my clients! I can just sit in my house, crocheting and making Chili for the winter! Nothing sounds better to me. This morning it was pretty cold when I got up., and the leaves are making a constant flutter. I am glad we got our Pool that we worked so hard to open this spring closed. Can't wait til next year, I actually swam twice this year, and hadn't been in the pool for at least 4 years., now I will have time to enjoy it..but for now...Fall is upon us!

A Swimming Pool Nightmare

We found that our above ground pool's winter cover had leaked dirty leaf water during the winter, had a heavy mess on the cover and could not get it off the pool. Sooooo, we had to cut the cover and dip nasty sludge out of the balled up liner. It took two days, and Dean's energy to clean it.

Hope the children/grandchildren appreciate it!
